The Labyrinth

John Gaunt This is an album of ambient/drone music that is somehow both creepy and organic/warm/inviting. Any of the songs could easily serve as background music for a horror movie. The album is not disturbing but feels like a safe, scary, PG-rated Halloween funhouse. Sophisticated or elevated ambient music, perhaps? Favorite track: Farcical Sensorium.

LIMITED EDITION CASSETTE RELEASE:
geometriclullaby.bandcamp.com/album/the-labyrinth

The Labyrinth remains an archetypal symbol in the collective unconscious for the introspective journey inward to self-knowledge and awareness. The supporting cast to this narrative of gnosis is the Daemon, the highest ideal self - the divine spark within man, driving him forward towards Truth; and the Minotaur, the primal fear of the unknown that we must all confront when gazing into the abyss of the subconscious mind.
